More about GBK's! (GBK I - V)

While we were on vacation with my family we were able to learn more about the history of George Benedict Kozak. Being the 5th generation GBK is really amazing. I was curious to learn more about the previous generations of GBK. At my christening party at Aunt Karen's I was able to find out more with the help of Ga - Ga and Great Aunt Lorraine. Aunt karen had put a photo book together so we were able to look back and hear wonderful stories from previous generations which was very nostalgic for all GBK I - GBK V. I got to know more about my Daddy (GBK IV), my grandfather (GBK III) , my great grandfather (GBK II) and finally my great-great grandfather (GBK I). With shared stories there are many photos - so I hope that you enjoy the trip back in history so that I can understand more about my heritage.

GBK II - why the George Benedict Kozaks are high potentials at Football. It is in their blood. This is photo taken in 1925 of my great grandfather in his football gear ready for the game.

Indiana University papers - along with fraternity membership card to Beat Alpha Psi. Demonstrates both brains & brawn. Grandfather was also a potential for the Doctorate Program in Business. Which ironically is what my Mummy is studying!

A signed certifciate from the US President George W. Bush. This certificate commemorates the service men that fought in the Korean War. This was awarded to my Grandfather, GBK III. God rest his soul.

More photos & documents . Also a copy of a 1996 retirement statement from the Standard Oil Company (Indiana). Military document demonstrating that my grandfather was a seargent in the Armed Forces of the US.

A medal & certificate of recognition awarded to GBK III for services in the Cold War , Sept 1945.

Variety of family photos across the years.

The final photo goes back to the theme of football - it is of my Dad GBK IV in his football gear.

Hope you enjoyed this epic journey about my heritage as much as I have.

2010 USA Trip

Hi everybody!
We are having a great vacation with family in the USA! Lots of fun activity and trips...not to mention the laughs & great food! We are staying in Bay Village - right on the lake with my Aunt Lisa & Uncle Scott. We have been having lots of family visits - even my Ga Ga - who I have seen for the first time.

Yesterday we went to my cousin Logan's soccer tournament - where he scored 2 hatricks! he's awesome. He managed to play so well even though he had an injured left knee (see photos you can see the bandage).
A few days we were playing in the back yard on the swings & trampoline and we saw a mother and baby deer. It was the first deer that I had ever seen in my life - it was so cute (See photo below).

I really enjoy my exersaucer that my Aunt Karen lent me. It is so much fun I have been jumping and singing. At Aunt Lisa & Uncle Scott's house we have been having lots of lovely dinners on the balcony since the weather has been so great in the evenings. Check out the photos!

Enjoying My Exersaucer!
